Over 5,500 visitors attended Megaphonics ’25 in the UK, celebrating Porsche heritage with rare models and a vibrant community atmosphere.

This past weekend, Oxfordshire hosted Europe’s largest Porsche community gathering — Megaphonics ’25. More than 5,500 enthusiasts from across the globe flocked to Boxengasse to witness some of the rarest Porsche models and meet fellow fans. What began in 2022 as an intimate air-cooled Porsche meet has evolved into a major festival that bridges generations and styles.

The event’s organizer and Boxengasse founder, Frank Cassidy, envisioned this site as a hub for people united by a passion for Porsche engineering and design. Spanning around 40 hectares, the venue featured three main sections: dedicated areas for air- and water-cooled cars, plus a central display of exceptionally rare machines. Among them were prototypes like the 904, 906, and 908, the iconic Gulf-liveried 917 from the film Le Mans, and ultra-rare models including the 959, 993 GT2 Evo, and Carrera RS.

Megaphonics ’25 highlighted Porsche not just as a sports car manufacturer but as a living community. Rally-raid Cayennes, Carrera GTs, and classic Speedsters lined up side by side on the grass, with no divisions based on value or rarity. The central exhibition, complemented by art and music, traced Porsche’s evolution from its earliest endurance prototypes to modern road cars.

The event drew participants from Europe, the US, Canada, Australia, and the Middle East, reinforcing Boxengasse’s status as a tourist magnet for Porsche fans. While precise figures are unavailable, experts note that the 2024 edition already showcased cars valued at hundreds of millions of pounds.

Visitor reactions were mixed: many praised the unique atmosphere, exceptional displays, and flawless organization, while forum discussions pointed to long queues and differing treatment of owners depending on their car models.

Organizers plan to further expand Megaphonics, aiming to make it even more inclusive and far-reaching. As Porsche’s 80th anniversary approaches, attendees can expect even rarer exhibits and a broader international presence.
