Bentley presents EXP 15 concept and hybrid GT at Monterey

Bentley reveals EXP 15 concept, new hybrid Continental GT, and Batur Convertible at Monterey Car Week, showcasing heritage and future in one event.
Bentley is making a striking return to Monterey Car Week 2025 with one of its most ambitious and multifaceted showcases yet. The British luxury brand is blending heritage, present-day excellence, and a bold look into the future with the debut of its futuristic EXP 15 design concept.
Presented publicly for the first time, the EXP 15 offers a vision of Bentley’s electric era. Stretching over five meters long, it merges SUV presence with fastback elegance, featuring an upright grille and long hood reminiscent of the iconic 1930 Bentley Speed Six “Blue Train.” To emphasize heritage, the original Speed Six will also be on-site, spotted on the road and displayed at the returning Home of Bentley near Pebble Beach Lodge.
A major highlight is the U.S. debut of the new Continental GT Speed. Equipped with a high-performance hybrid powertrain delivering 680 PS and 930 Nm of torque, it introduces Mulliner’s innovative two-tone “ombre” paint, creating a smooth color transition from front to rear. This personalization option hints at deeper future customization opportunities for Bentley clients.
The lineup also features the powerful Bentayga Speed SUV, capable of reaching 193 mph, and the exclusive Mulliner Batur Convertible—a handcrafted W12-powered cabriolet limited to just 16 units. Guests will have the rare chance to test-drive these next-generation models, experiencing firsthand the blend of hybrid performance and luxury craftsmanship.
On the heritage side, Bentley brings a true one-of-one: the 1939 Mark V Corniche. After its bodywork was destroyed during WWII, enthusiasts rediscovered the original chassis decades later, meticulously rebuilding the car using authentic Mark V components and Mulliner drawings. For the first time, this historic vehicle is leaving Europe to join the Tour d’Elegance and Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
Adding a charitable twist to the festivities, Bentley will auction a bespoke surfboard handcrafted with Hawaiian Koa veneer. Created in collaboration with Marnie Rays and Otter Surfboards, proceeds from the sale will benefit Surfability UK, the country’s first adaptive surf school empowering individuals with disabilities to engage in surfing and even compete on a global level.
The Home of Bentley returns as a dedicated space celebrating artisan craftsmanship and co-creation opportunities for customers. With this year’s event, Bentley demonstrates that Monterey Car Week is more than just a car show—it’s where the brand shapes the future of grand touring luxury while staying deeply connected to its storied past.
