From 15 August to 3 September 2025, the Mercedes-Benz Museum screens blockbusters, documentaries and concerts under the open sky in Stuttgart.

In mid-August, Stuttgart will once again light up with the magic of open-air cinema as the Mercedes-Benz Museum launches its highly anticipated Open-air Cinema 2025. From August 15 to September 3, the museum’s outdoor venue will host 17 film evenings, continuing a beloved summer tradition that has captivated audiences since 2007.

The event opens with the documentary “VfB inTeam – We’ve Got The Cup”, celebrating VfB Stuttgart’s victory in the 2025 DFB Cup. Football fans are in for a treat: they can take photos with the original trophy and the iconic Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet that led the victory motorcade. The following day, two tickets for the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup 2025 will be raffled off—a draw so popular that seats are already sold out.

The program spans heartfelt dramas, sharp-witted comedies, and major blockbusters. A highlight is “F1”, starring Brad Pitt and produced by Lewis Hamilton, promising an authentic Formula 1 experience on the big screen. Music lovers will enjoy a special night on August 31, with Rick Black and his band performing Bob Dylan classics before the screening of the biopic “Like a Complete Unknown”.

This summer cinema tradition has been running since 2007, drawing thousands of visitors each year. In 2024, the Mercedes-Benz Museum set a record with 882,000 guests, and the open-air cinema contributed to this success. With many shows selling out quickly, the event has become a staple of the city’s cultural scene.

Tickets, priced at around €12, are available online only. Doors open at 7 p.m., with screenings beginning at sunset. Even rainy weather won’t cancel the shows—true to its spirit, the event embraces the summer evening atmosphere. Guests can also purchase discounted vouchers for food and drinks provided by long-time catering partner Wilhelmer.

This year, the museum enhances its cultural offerings with open-air concerts, the classic car meet-up “Classics & Coffee,” and a family day packed with interactive activities for children. Combined with the cinematic program, these events turn Open-air Cinema into a citywide celebration, bringing together film fans, music lovers, and car enthusiasts under Stuttgart’s starry sky.
