Lucid announced the 2027 Gravity SUV lineup with more standard features, simplified trims, and a new Prestige package. Explore what changes for buyers.

Lucid has reworked its flagship electric SUV, updating the Gravity lineup for the 2027 model year with a clear shift in strategy: more features are now standard, and the overall configuration structure has been simplified.

The most notable change is the expansion of base equipment. All versions of the Gravity now come with DreamDrive 2 Premium advanced driver assistance and an additional key fob as standard, features that were previously optional. This applies across both Touring and Grand Touring trims, while the number of configuration choices has been reduced to streamline the buying process.

This move carries broader significance for the market. Gravity is a central part of Lucid’s growth strategy and already holds the title of World Luxury Car of the Year 2026. In the competitive premium electric SUV segment, where it faces models like the Tesla Model X and Rivian R1S, strengthening the standard offering directly affects its positioning.

The Touring version, starting at $79,900, now includes a more comprehensive set of standard features while still offering optional packages for further customization, ranging from technology upgrades to dynamic enhancements. The Grand Touring, priced from $98,900, goes further by adding Comfort & Convenience and Power packages, along with larger wheels, as part of its standard specification.

A key addition for the top-tier model is the new Prestige Package. It combines several previously separate options, including 22"/23" wheels, the Surreal Sound Pro audio system, a dynamic handling package, and third-row seating, creating the most fully equipped version of the Gravity. The package is priced from $10,500 and is scheduled to become available in summer 2026.

Under the surface, the technical foundation remains unchanged but continues to stand out in its class. The Grand Touring features a battery of around 123 kWh and delivers up to 450 miles of EPA range, with charging speeds reaching up to 400 kW. The Touring uses a smaller 89 kWh battery and offers up to 337 miles of range. Both versions are built on a high-voltage architecture of around 926 volts and support fast charging, including access to the Tesla Supercharger network.

Interior space remains one of Gravity’s defining advantages. The SUV offers up to seven seats, with a third row designed for adult passengers, and cargo capacity that can approach minivan levels depending on the configuration.

From a strategic perspective, the update reflects a clear direction. Rather than expanding the lineup, Lucid is refining it, reinforcing Gravity’s role between the Air sedan and the upcoming Cosmos and Earth models. In doing so, the company is focusing on making its premium electric SUV easier to configure while increasing its overall value.

The 2027 update is less about introducing new technology and more about reshaping the offer: more included features, fewer complex choices, and a more accessible entry point into Lucid’s luxury EV segment.
