Maserati presents Fuoriserie GranCabrio and MCPURA Cielo at Monte-Carlo Masters 2026. Explore details of customization, design, and event context.

Maserati has introduced a fully customized soft top for the GranCabrio for the first time in its history, choosing the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters 2026 as the stage for this debut rather than a traditional motor show.

The brand’s fifth consecutive appearance in Monaco turned into a showcase of its Fuoriserie program. Maserati unveiled two one-off creations: a GranCabrio featuring the new bespoke soft top and an MCPURA Cielo finished in the iridescent Ai Aqua Rainbow color. This move extends the concept of customization to elements that were previously untouched, including the fabric roof itself.

The GranCabrio takes center stage. Its soft top combines weaving and embroidery techniques and references the 100th anniversary of the Trident emblem. White and lime accents echo the visual language of tennis. At the same time, the model remains distinctive in its segment by offering both a combustion-engine version and a fully electric Folgore variant, which delivers 761 PS, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and uses a three-motor setup.

The MCPURA Cielo highlights another dimension of personalization. Its Ai Aqua Rainbow paint, developed within the Fuoriserie program, changes under sunlight to produce a prism-like effect. Beneath the surface, the car features a carbon-fiber monocoque developed with Dallara and a Nettuno V6 engine producing around 621–630 hp. The Cielo version adds an electrochromic glass roof capable of switching transparency in one second.

Maserati’s presence at the tournament goes beyond static display. As the official car of the Monte-Carlo Masters, the brand provides a fleet that includes the Grecale SUV for players and guests. Test drives along the Côte d’Azur are also part of the experience, linking product presentation with real-world driving.

An MCXtrema is also on display near the Fairmont Monte Carlo. This track-only model is limited to 62 units and powered by a twin-turbo V6 delivering up to 740 CV. Its livery references the MC12 GT1 and Maserati’s achievements at the 24 Hours of Spa, where the brand secured three wins and two second-place finishes between 2005 and 2009.

The choice of venue reflects the audience Maserati aims to reach. The Monte-Carlo Masters is an ATP Masters 1000 event with a prize pool of nearly €6.8 million and a strong concentration of premium clientele. This setting allows the brand to present its most personalized offerings directly to potential buyers.

These premieres also align with a broader milestone. In 2026, Maserati marks 100 years of the Trident emblem and a century of racing heritage that began with the Tipo 26 in 1926. Appearances at global events, including Monaco, form part of this anniversary program.

The emphasis on Fuoriserie and new levels of customization signals a clear direction: moving beyond traditional luxury production toward highly individualized vehicles, where the client plays an active role in shaping the final product.
