Lincoln introduces Tropical Paradise for Rejuvenate system
Lincoln presents a new Tropical Paradise theme for its Rejuvenate system, combining visuals, sound, scent and seat controls to create an in-car relaxation experience. Learn more.
Lincoln has effectively turned the car into a place for a short “vacation”: the new Tropical Paradise theme for the Rejuvenate system transports the driver from the cabin first underwater to coral reefs, then to a distant island, and finally to a beach with the sound of waves — all within a few minutes and without the vehicle moving.
The key here is not just the visuals, but how they are tied to physical sensations. Rejuvenate simultaneously adjusts seat position, activates massage, modifies climate, lighting, sound, and adds a digital scent. In this case, the Sunlight Retreat composition is used, featuring notes of sandalwood, rose, jasmine, and fruit. All elements are synchronized, so the user experiences not a set of separate effects, but a cohesive scenario.
The practical value of the feature is already confirmed by usage. More than half of Navigator and Nautilus owners with Rejuvenate have tried the mode, and over a third return to it regularly. This shows that such features are perceived not as a demonstration of technology, but as a real tool for short rest inside the car.
Tropical Paradise is the fifth scenario in the lineup, following Aurora Borealis, Elements, Waterfall Meditation, and Forest Meditation. Lincoln is developing the system gradually, adding new themes through updates. This approach turns Rejuvenate into an expandable platform rather than a fixed feature.
Additional context comes from a Purdue University study. In tests involving 43 participants, the multisensory scenarios showed measurable short-term stress reduction, reflected in heart rate and brain activity changes. Nearly all participants preferred this experience over a standard environment, and most expressed willingness to use it regularly.
Technically, the system relies on the digital architecture of the brand’s newer models. Navigator and Nautilus are equipped with panoramic displays and the Lincoln Digital Experience interface, which enable the visual and audio scenarios. This is complemented by the Digital Scent system with a range of fragrances.
The new theme is delivered via an over-the-air update and is available for equipped versions of the 2025–2026 Navigator and Nautilus. The mode operates only when the vehicle is stationary and doors are closed, emphasizing its role as a dedicated recovery mode rather than a feature for use while driving.
The consistent addition of such scenarios shows that Lincoln is focusing on developing the cabin as a controlled environment where not only the vehicle matters, but also the condition of the person inside it.
