Bugatti and Jacob & Co. present the Tourbillon and Tourbillon Baguette watches, merging hypercar design with high watchmaking and exclusive jewelry detail.

When engineering and high jewelry intersect, few collaborations shine as brightly as the partnership between Bugatti and Jacob & Co. Their latest creations, the Bugatti Tourbillon and the diamond-set Bugatti Tourbillon Baguette, fuse the aesthetics of a hypercar with the technical audacity of fine watchmaking.

Both timepieces carry the DNA of the Bugatti Tourbillon car, from the lines of the case to the mechanical features on the dial. A 30-second flying tourbillon – the fastest Jacob & Co. has ever built – dominates the left side, while the power reserve indicator mirrors the hypercar’s dashboard layout. The centerpiece, however, is a sapphire crystal engine block with 16 titanium pistons driven by a 22.37 mm crankshaft. With a press of a button, the pistons move in sequence, offering a hypnotic display that is closer to automotive theater than traditional horology.

The case, measuring 52 × 44 mm with sapphire inlays, echoes the shape of the Tourbillon car. In the Baguette edition, it is transformed into a piece of high jewelry, set with 328 baguette-cut diamonds totaling 17 carats, alongside 18 rubies recalling the car’s taillights. The standard Bugatti Tourbillon was priced at around $340,000 at launch, limited to 150 pieces with roughly 100 additional personalized variants. While the Baguette’s official price has not been disclosed, similar editions have appeared on the market for approximately €0.8–0.85 million.

The collaboration itself dates back to 2019, when Jacob & Co. and Bugatti introduced the Twin Turbo Furious Bugatti Edition and the Epic X Chrono “110 Ans Bugatti.” Since then, the partnership has steadily evolved, consistently blending the precision of horology with the spirit of automotive design. On the automotive side, Bugatti is preparing the launch of the Tourbillon hypercar – a plug-in hybrid powered by a naturally aspirated 8.3-liter V16 paired with three electric motors, producing around 1,800 horsepower. Production is limited to 250 units, with deliveries expected to begin in 2026.

Industry reaction has been mixed. Watch experts have praised the Bugatti Tourbillon as “a miniature engine on the wrist,” while German media described it as “the ultimate toy for billionaires.” Collectors’ forums echo this divide: some hail it as a pinnacle of mechanical artistry, others see it more as a statement piece than a wearable timekeeper. Regardless of perspective, the collaboration pushes the boundaries of what watchmaking can achieve and sets a new benchmark for future cross-industry creations.
