Alfa Romeo relaunches its Driving Academy with Scuderia de Adamich, offering multi-level track programs in Italy’s Motor Valley. Explore details and formats.

Alfa Romeo has relaunched one of its longest-running initiatives — the Driving Academy developed together with Scuderia de Adamich, a partnership that dates back to 1991. The renewed program takes place at the Varano de’ Melegari circuit and brings together the brand’s full current line-up, from the Junior compact model to the Giulia sedan and Stelvio SUV.

The academy is structured into four levels designed for drivers with different experience. The entry-level Safe Driving course runs for one day and focuses on emergency braking, obstacle avoidance and vehicle control in low-grip conditions using dedicated training tools. More advanced stages introduce telemetry, trajectory analysis and full track sessions, while the two-day Advanced Driving program combines all training elements. Practical sessions include models such as the Giulia Quadrifoglio and Alfa Romeo 4C.

The project goes beyond standard driving courses. Scuderia de Adamich, founded by former Formula 1 driver Andrea de Adamich, has developed into one of Europe’s leading driving training organizations. It delivers around 105 course days per year and serves approximately 3,500 participants annually, with activities spanning more than 35 countries, including the United States.

The location adds further context. The academy operates within Italy’s Motor Valley, a region in Emilia-Romagna that brings together brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Ducati, along with racing teams, circuits and training institutions. The Varano circuit itself, established in 1969 and now measuring about 2.35 km, has evolved into a technical training facility with multiple layouts suitable for both beginners and experienced drivers.

The choice of vehicles reflects Alfa Romeo’s current strategy. Participants experience a range of powertrains, from traditional petrol and diesel engines to hybrid systems and fully electric solutions such as the Junior Elettrica and Tonale Plug-in Hybrid. This allows drivers to understand how different technologies behave under real driving conditions.

Alongside individual courses, the academy also targets corporate clients. Customized programs include safety training and team-building activities tailored to specific business needs. This approach aligns with similar initiatives from other manufacturers, including Porsche, Ferrari, BMW and Mercedes-AMG, where multi-level driving academies have become an established part of brand experience.

The relaunch of the Alfa Romeo Driving Academy highlights the brand’s focus on driving experience as a core element of its identity. Combined with the infrastructure of Motor Valley and the international reach of Scuderia de Adamich, the program positions itself as both a training platform and a way to strengthen engagement with the brand.
