Corvette CX and CX.R Vision Gran Turismo Shape Future Design

Chevrolet presents Corvette CX and CX.R Vision Gran Turismo concepts, showcasing over 2,000 hp performance and future design direction, coming to Gran Turismo 7.

Chevrolet has revealed two striking concept cars that offer a glimpse into the future of Corvette design. The Corvette CX and CX.R Vision Gran Turismo carry forward the legacy of America’s sports car while pushing it into a bold new era.

The Corvette CX is a fully electric all-wheel-drive supercar with four motors producing over 2,000 horsepower. Engineers developed an advanced aerodynamic package featuring a vacuum fan system and active diffusers and rear wing, allowing the car to generate massive downforce in real time. Its sleek profile, less than 41 inches tall, fighter-jet-style canopy, and open aero channels emphasize its uncompromised performance focus. Inside, bolstered seats finished in Inferno Red, a minimalist cabin, and a digital windshield that doubles as a full-width performance display create an immersive driving environment.

The Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo takes this idea to the track. It features a lower ride height, a more aggressive aero kit, and a stripped-down interior with raw carbon fiber surfaces and racing seats designed for maximum support. Its hybrid powertrain pairs three electric motors with a high-revving 2.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing up to 900 horsepower on renewable e-fuel. Together they deliver a combined output of around 2,000 horsepower, sending power to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Neither concept is headed for production, but both set the tone for Corvette’s future design language and will soon be available for fans to experience virtually.
