Porsche Celebrates Cayenne Restorations at PEC Toronto Finale

Winners of the 2025 Porsche Classic Restoration Competition were crowned at PEC Toronto, showcasing unique Cayenne builds and celebrating Porsche heritage.
The 2025 Porsche Classic Restoration Competition concluded in Toronto, bringing together 17 Porsche Centre teams from across Canada. In its fourth edition, the competition once again demonstrated the growing passion for classic Porsche models. The newly opened Porsche Experience Centre Toronto – the tenth worldwide and third in North America – set the stage, offering a unique mix of handling circuits, a drift circle, and simulators where each team unveiled its interpretation of the first-generation Cayenne.
The National Champion title went to Porsche Centre Vancouver. Their 2008 Cayenne Turbo received a Gulf Racing-inspired livery featuring a map of British Columbia, a fully reimagined Cohiba leather interior, and an extensive mechanical refresh including suspension upgrades and overlanding accessories. In the “Best in East” category, Porsche Lauzon impressed with a lifted Cayenne S fitted with heavy-duty tires, roof-mounted expedition gear, and remote-controlled lighting. The “Best in West” trophy was claimed by Porsche Centre Victoria, whose project, created in collaboration with Coast Salish artist Luke Marston, featured cultural storytelling across body panels and a hand-painted dugout canoe mounted on the roof.
Porsche Centre Québec earned the Marketing Award for transforming a 2004 Cayenne Turbo into an expedition vehicle and showcasing it in the cinematic short film “Au-delà des routes.” Public engagement was high, with Instagram users selecting Porsche Centre Markham’s 2009 Cayenne, inspired by the Porsche Jagdwagen, as the Popular Vote winner. The same project also received the Attendees’ Choice Award during the live event.
Since its launch in 2019, the competition has evolved from focusing on 911 and 356 models to spotlighting Cayenne, the SUV that secured Porsche’s financial footing and broadened its audience. With growing creativity from participating teams and strong community response, future editions are likely to bring even bolder projects that blend engineering, storytelling, and Canadian culture.
