Mercedes-Benz is accelerating its transition to electric mobility, and the all-new fully electric GLC with EQ technology has demonstrated its ability to perform under extreme weather conditions. The model recently underwent rigorous cold-weather testing in Arjeplog, Sweden, where temperatures plummeted to -30°C.

The GLC remains one of the brand’s best-selling SUVs, solidifying its position as a key model in the Mercedes-Benz lineup. In 2024, it became the company’s top-selling series, highlighting its strong market demand. Now, Mercedes-Benz is taking a major step forward by introducing an electric version that aims to combine premium quality, cutting-edge technology, and sustainability.

Winter testing played a crucial role in validating the vehicle’s performance. Engineers assessed the efficiency of the battery systems, electric drivetrain, and thermal management under freezing conditions. This aspect is critical for electric vehicles, as cold weather can significantly impact battery efficiency and overall driving comfort.

The all-electric GLC with EQ technology is set for an official debut in mid-2025. It will replace the current EQC and become a key player in Mercedes-Benz’s electrification strategy.
