Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo available in Gran Turismo 7

Opel's Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo, premiered at IAA 2025, joins Gran Turismo 7 on Sept 24 with 800 hp and 320 km/h performance for gaming fans.
Opel has stepped into the digital future with the unveiling of the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo — the brand’s first “phygital” concept, bridging a real-life show car and a virtual model for Gran Turismo 7. The world premiere took place on September 8, 2025, at IAA Mobility in Munich, and two weeks later the car appeared in Berlin as the centerpiece of the second round of the Gran Turismo World Series.
The partnership with Gran Turismo producer Kazunori Yamauchi added a special significance to the project. During the event at the Uber Eats Music Hall, watched by thousands of spectators on-site and millions online, the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo was revealed not only as an exhibition piece but also as a promise to gamers: the car became available in Gran Turismo 7 on September 24, 2025.
In terms of performance, the concept stands out. Two electric motors deliver a combined output of 588 kW (800 hp) and 800 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 2.0 seconds, with a top speed of 320 km/h. A temporary boost function adds an extra 80 hp for a few seconds. Engineers managed to keep the weight down to 1170 kg despite an 82 kWh battery, thanks to lightweight materials.
The design reflects Opel’s Compass philosophy, with sharp contours, active aero elements including a diffuser and spoiler, and specially engineered wheels. Inside, the cockpit is intentionally minimalist: a compact steering wheel, head-up display, and suspended lightweight seat create a pure racing atmosphere without unnecessary distractions.
The Berlin round of the Gran Turismo World Series served as the stage for the debut in front of racing fans. In the Nations Cup, Spain’s Jose Serrano claimed victory ahead of Valerio Gallo and Kaj de Bruin. In the Manufacturers Cup, Subaru, led by Kylian Drumont, secured first place, followed by BMW and Nissan. With these dramatic races, the Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo immediately entered the spotlight of a global audience where esports and automotive design meet.
The project also connects Opel to the wider Vision Gran Turismo tradition, where Porsche, Mercedes-AMG, Genesis, and Skoda have already left their mark. By joining this lineup, Opel emphasizes the electric direction of its GSE line. While no production plans have been announced, the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo serves as an experimental platform — a glimpse into design and technology ideas that could one day influence real cars.
