Lexus introduces the 2026 LX with a new F SPORT Appearance Package, hybrid LX 700h upgrades, expanded Overtrail features, and Lexus Safety System+ 3.0.

Lexus has unveiled the refreshed LX for the 2026 model year, focusing on details that emphasize both sportiness and off-road strength. For the first time, the LX 700h F SPORT Handling is offered with an F SPORT Appearance Package, adding body-colored bumper accents and side steps, black mirror housings, and small rear spoiler winglets. This option underlines a dynamic character and gives customers more room for individual styling.

The Overtrail grade remains the most off-road-focused trim and is now available exclusively on the hybrid LX 700h, offered in both two- and three-row configurations. It features front and rear locking differentials, 33-inch all-terrain tires on 18-inch wheels, and a 2.4 kW inverter. Visual cues include a matte gray grille, black exterior details, and the Earth paint finish, previously seen on the Lexus GX.

Both the LX 600 and LX 700h are built on the GA-F platform, first introduced in 2022. Engineers reconfigured the frame for the hybrid, adopting a three-cross structure and relocating the spare tire to make space for the hybrid battery. The LX 700h combines a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 with an electric motor for a total of 457 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque. Beyond raw numbers, the system can add electric drive in low range for precise control on rocky paths or deep snow. Its battery is sealed in a waterproof housing, giving the SUV a fording depth of up to 27.5 inches.

The gasoline-powered LX 600 continues with 409 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, paired with the same 10-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission used across the lineup. Official EPA combined fuel economy for the LX 700h hybrid is rated at 20 mpg.

On the technology front, all 2026 LX models now come standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0. The suite includes a Pre-Collision System with detection for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, and left-turn oncoming vehicle detection with braking. Also included are adaptive cruise control with Curve Speed Management, Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert, Road Sign Assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. A head-up display is now standard across the lineup.

Pricing in the United States starts at $107,950 for the LX 600 Premium and tops out at $142,450 for the LX 700h Ultra Luxury. Official European prices have not yet been announced, leaving open the question of which trims will reach markets like Germany. Still, Lexus clearly aims to strengthen the LX’s dual role: as a luxury flagship and as a capable off-road SUV.
