Bentley Continental GTC Speed debuts in revived Violette colour

Bentley’s latest Continental GTC Speed returns in historic Violette hue, blending bespoke craftsmanship, innovation and heritage appeal.
At Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe, one of the marque’s rarest heritage shades has been revived — Violette. The new Continental GTC Speed was commissioned by a UK client who sought a bold alternative to traditional colours. This deep blue-violet tone, once used on historic Bentleys, returns thanks to the skill of the company’s paint experts, who can recreate any shade from Bentley’s archives using master samples or reference vehicles.
The car’s exterior is enhanced with Gloss Black brightware and matching Bentley badges, while the seven-layer fabric roof, finished in dark metallic grey weave, complements the vibrant bodywork. Together, they create a subtle play of light and contrast that emphasises the car’s sculptural form.
Inside, the theme continues with Tanzanite Purple leather combined with Linen inserts and Lilac accents. Stitching, piping and the steering-wheel marker all follow the same tone, creating visual harmony. Materials such as 3D-textured leather and Stone Veneer — a natural stone layer just 0.1 mm thick — underline Bentley’s blend of craftsmanship and innovation.
Underneath the bespoke surface lies the fourth-generation Continental GTC Speed, powered by the Ultra Performance Hybrid system. It delivers 782 PS and 1000 Nm, reaching 285 km/h, with an electric range of up to 81 km and CO₂ emissions of around 29 g/km. The cabin features the Bentley Rotating Display, the 2200-Watt Naim for Bentley audio, and the new Dark Chrome Interior Specification.
According to Bentley, more than 70 percent of its customers now include at least one Mulliner feature in their configuration — clear evidence of a growing desire for individuality. This commission represents not only the taste of a passionate collector, who has previously owned several Bentaygas and GTs, but also a broader trend toward self-expression through design and material choice.
The return of Violette, along with the revival of heritage icons such as the Speed Six Continuation Series, illustrates Bentley’s philosophy: to unite tradition and innovation. As the brand moves toward its electric future, it continues to celebrate the craftsmanship and personal expression that define its legacy.
