MINI returns to Oxford roots with updated Convertible S model

Along the southern coast of England, between Portsmouth and Dover, MINI tells a new open-air story — the Postcard Story featuring the MINI Cooper Convertible S. In a landscape where wind and mist often prevail, the convertible proves that driving pleasure doesn’t depend on sunshine. Its fully electric roof opens in just 18 seconds, while the Always Open Timer records every moment spent under the sky.

Beneath the bonnet lies a two-litre petrol engine delivering 204 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. Combined fuel consumption ranges from 6.5 to 6.6 litres per 100 kilometres, with CO₂ emissions between 148 and 150 grams per kilometre.

The current F67 generation marks MINI’s return to its Oxford roots, after the previous F57 model was built in the Netherlands. The latest Convertible blends classic MINI character with new digital refinement: a round OLED display, updated MINI Experience Modes, and finely tuned steering that enhance agility and control.

Both British and German media responded positively. What Car? praised the strong engine and refined interior, while MotoringFile noted a more engaging and responsive driving feel. Prices start at around £28,700 in the UK and €31,200 in Germany.

Remaining true to its “Always Open” philosophy, the MINI Cooper Convertible S invites drivers to enjoy every mile, turning even an ordinary trip into a small open-air adventure.
