Nissan will showcase its new Elgrand, refreshed Ariya, and third-generation LEAF at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, highlighting innovations in e-POWER, EV technology, and autonomous mobility for Japan’s future.

At the upcoming Japan Mobility Show 2025, Nissan will present its vision of a connected future where technology, sustainability, and everyday mobility converge. The showcase will highlight the company’s Re:Nissan strategy, focused on revitalizing its product lineup and strengthening its position in the Japanese market.

The centerpiece of the event will be the all-new Nissan Elgrand, undergoing its first full redesign in sixteen years. This new generation minivan adopts Nissan’s third-generation e-POWER system, a hybrid configuration combining a gasoline engine with an electric drive. The new “5-in-1” architecture makes the power unit lighter and more efficient, offering smoother performance and greater fuel economy—qualities that appeal to families, the Elgrand’s main audience.

Alongside it, Nissan will debut the refreshed Ariya EV, tuned for Japanese roads. The crossover features a refined exterior, integrated Google infotainment, upgraded suspension, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, allowing the vehicle to power external devices. Together, these updates reinforce Nissan’s commitment to improving both technology and day-to-day usability of electric vehicles.

The spotlight will also shine on the third-generation Nissan LEAF, introduced earlier in 2025. The model evolves into a compact crossover with a 75 kWh battery and up to 488 km of range, marking a new stage in the evolution of one of the world’s most recognizable EVs.

The exhibition will further feature regional models such as the European Micra EV (up to 408 km range) and China’s N7, developed with Dongfeng and designed for long-distance travel.

Racing heritage will play a key role as well. Nissan’s Formula E championship-winning car from Season 11 (2024/25), driven by Oliver Rowland, will be on display—an emblem of how the brand’s motorsport technologies influence its road-going EVs.

The Nissan Energy zone will showcase innovations in smart energy management, including Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) systems that demonstrate how cars can integrate into household power networks.

On the social side, Nissan will unveil a prototype autonomous mobility service vehicle based on the Serena minivan. The pilot, launching in Yokohama in November, is developed with partners such as Boldly Inc. and Keikyu Corporation to address mobility challenges faced by Japan’s aging population.

During the public days, visitors will also see Japan-exclusive models like the 2026 Skyline 400R Limited Edition, the X-Trail Rock Creek, and the iconic Fairlady Z. Together, these vehicles embody Nissan’s ambition to blend performance, innovation, and sustainability into a cohesive vision of intelligent mobility.
