Alfa Romeo unveils the new Tonale with refined design, stronger dynamics, and advanced hybrid powertrains, combining Italian passion with cutting-edge technology.

Alfa Romeo has unveiled the new Tonale — a model that marks a new chapter for the brand, merging Italian passion with technological precision. The presentation took place in Pisa, a city that symbolizes the meeting of art and science, reflecting the car’s philosophy of “Human Intelligence,” where emotion and innovation coexist in harmony.

The refreshed Tonale has evolved significantly, with broader proportions and a more assertive stance. A new concave badge, reinterpreted Trilobe grille, and redesigned 19- and 20-inch wheels highlight its sporty presence. Inside, premium materials such as red leather, two-tone Alcantara, and a redesigned center console with a modern gear selector emphasize craftsmanship and comfort. Ambient lighting with a gradient effect inspired by the Biscione serpent adds a touch of sophistication and brand identity.

The color palette now features eight shades, including new metallics — Rosso Brera, Verde Monza, and Giallo Ocra. An optional black roof enhances the contrast and further defines its silhouette. Powertrains include a 1.6 diesel (130 hp), a 1.5 hybrid (175 hp), and a Q4 plug-in hybrid delivering up to 270 hp. The car’s handling is refined through an electronic DSV suspension system, Brembo brakes, and a perfectly balanced chassis, combining agility with everyday comfort.

Technology and safety have also advanced. The Tonale features a 12.3-inch digital cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment display, OTA software updates, and a full suite of Level 2 driver-assistance systems — from intelligent cruise control to a 360° camera and semi-automatic parking. A 470-watt Harman Kardon audio system with 14 speakers delivers immersive sound quality.

The lineup now follows a clear structure: Tonale, Sprint, Ti, and the performance-oriented Veloce. The launch edition, Sport Speciale, stands as the most exclusive interpretation, combining refined aesthetics with top-tier equipment. It embodies the evolution of Italian sportiness in both form and function.

CEO Santo Ficili emphasized that the new Tonale is more than an update — it is a reaffirmation of Alfa Romeo’s dedication to connecting innovation with emotion. Every detail reflects the brand’s heritage and vision for the future, creating a car where technology enhances the joy of driving. The Tonale thus remains faithful to the essence of Alfa Romeo — performance that moves both the car and the driver.
