Porsche and Smeg unite heritage and innovation in a limited collection inspired by the 917 KH Le Mans legend, blending motorsport design with modern living aesthetics.

In the world of design and technology, a new story has emerged—one that transforms tradition and engineering excellence into everyday form. Porsche and Italian brand Smeg have unveiled a collaborative collection of home appliances inspired by the legendary Porsche 917 KH, the car that claimed the brand’s first overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970.

Launched on October 15, 2025, the partnership blends German precision with Italian aesthetics in a line of appliances that bring automotive heritage into the home. At its core is the 917 Salzburg series—a red fridge and a bean-to-cup coffee machine, each limited to 1,970 numbered units. The design echoes the car’s iconic livery, complete with the number 23 that marked Porsche’s historic triumph.

The collection also features versions in Carrara White Metallic and Shade Green Metallic, uniting the visual language of motorsport with the refinement of modern living. The range includes the FAB28 fridge, toaster, kettle, and blender—each shaped with the precision and minimalism that define Porsche’s design philosophy.

The 270-liter fridge with a 26-liter freezer compartment features a handle inspired by the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, while the kettle offers a “Soft Opening” lid and automatic shut-off at 100°C. The toaster provides six browning levels with Reheat, Defrost, and Bagel modes, and the blender adds four manual speeds, three preset programs, and an auto-clean function.

Every detail reflects craftsmanship and intent. Each appliance carries a numbered metal plate, and even the interior trims mirror the matte black exterior accents. The collection became available on October 15 through Smeg flagship stores, smeg.com, porsche.com, and selected Porsche Design Stores and Porsche Centers.

In the UK, the fridge is priced at £3,499 and the coffee machine at £1,399.95; in the US, $4,499 and $1,599 respectively. Porsche and Smeg have thus introduced more than household appliances—they have crafted objects where racing heritage meets the beauty of daily ritual.
