The 2026 Toyota bZ adds a NACS port for Tesla Superchargers, Plug & Charge capability, free adapters for bZ4X owners, and Apple Maps EV Routing for easier charging.

Toyota has officially launched the 2026 bZ electric SUV, bringing improved convenience, charging flexibility, and expanded access to fast-charging networks across North America. The new model features a built-in NACS inlet, giving drivers access to over 25,000 additional plugs via the Tesla Supercharger Network.

For added ease, the 2026 bZ introduces Plug & Charge functionality, allowing charging to begin automatically once the cable is connected. After a one-time setup in the Toyota app, drivers can simply plug in without any extra steps. Tesla’s Supercharger Network will be the first to support Plug & Charge for Toyota BEVs, followed by IONNA, ChargePoint, and EVgo.

All 2026 Toyota BEVs come standard with adapters compatible with CCS and J1772 stations, ensuring backward compatibility and greater flexibility. Meanwhile, bZ4X owners from model years 2023 to 2025 will receive a complimentary NACS adapter from Toyota dealers. Each adapter meets Toyota’s durability and safety standards and is covered by the company’s warranty.

Toyota is also expanding its digital ecosystem. All BEVs equipped with Toyota Audio Multimedia now support Apple Maps EV Routing via Apple CarPlay, providing drivers with real-time navigation that accounts for battery charge, terrain, and charger availability along the route.

According to Toyota Motor North America, these updates reflect the brand’s commitment to maintaining the reliability and user experience customers expect, even as it transitions further into the battery electric vehicle market. The 2026 bZ marks a key step in Toyota’s strategy to combine trusted engineering with modern EV innovation.
