Rolls-Royce unveils the Phantom Centenary Private Collection — 25 bespoke cars blending 100 years of history, innovation, and artistry in design and materials.

For a century, the name Rolls-Royce Phantom has embodied achievement, influence, and timeless style. In 2025, the marque marked this milestone with the Phantom Centenary Private Collection—a limited run of just 25 cars that redefines craftsmanship and design complexity. Each model stands as a living artwork, merging engineering excellence with poetic artistry.

The Centenary Phantom represents the culmination of a three-year project by the Bespoke Collective of designers, engineers, and craftspeople. Over 40,000 hours were spent turning the Phantom VIII into a narrative vehicle that captures the spirit of every era since 1925. Seventy-seven hand-sketched motifs, inspired by defining owners and historical moments, were translated into intricate materials and techniques throughout the cabin.

The exterior combines Super Champagne Crystal paintwork in Arctic White and Black, shimmering with crushed-glass particles. At its crown stands a solid-gold Spirit of Ecstasy, based on the 1925 original and plated in 24-carat gold. Even the RR monograms are rendered in white enamel and gold for the first time.

Inside, the cabin resembles an art gallery. The rear seats feature fabric developed with a fashion atelier—the first collaboration of its kind outside haute couture. High-resolution printed layers merge with over 160,000 embroidery stitches that mimic the fluidity of pencil lines, creating a tapestry of Phantom’s history.

The front seats bear laser-etched artwork with subtle references to Rolls-Royce lore—“Roger Rabbit,” the codename for the marque’s 2003 revival, and “Seagull,” the 1923 Phantom I prototype. At the center, the Anthology Gallery presents a 3D-printed sculpture of brushed aluminum fins engraved with quotes spanning a century of acclaim.

The wooden panels represent the most intricate marquetry ever attempted by Rolls-Royce, uniting 3D marquetry, laser etching, multi-layered ink application, and gilding. Maps and routes related to Henry Royce’s life gleam in gold leaf just 0.1 micrometres thick—each section handcrafted with extraordinary precision.

Above, the Starlight Headliner tells stories through light and embroidery—depicting the mulberry tree at Henry Royce’s garden, the Goodwood courtyard, and subtle tributes to past Phantoms such as Sir Malcolm Campbell’s “Bluebird.”

Beneath the elegance lies the marque’s iconic 6.75-litre V12 engine, adorned in Arctic White with 24-carat detailing. Official WLTP data lists CO₂ emissions between 353–365 g/km. While Rolls-Royce has not disclosed pricing, industry sources estimate a figure above $3 million, placing the Centenary firmly among the marque’s most collectible creations.

The Phantom Centenary Private Collection is more than a commemorative edition—it is a reflection of a hundred years of imagination, mastery, and legacy. Rolls-Royce has not simply celebrated the past but transformed it into art, crafting a car destined to become history itself.
