The new Porsche Cayenne Electric introduces an 800V system, dual cooling, and predictive thermal control, ensuring over 600 km range and fast charging up to 400 kW.

Porsche is preparing to open a new chapter in the story of the Cayenne. In just a few weeks, the fully electric version of the SUV will debut, setting what the company calls a new benchmark for e-performance. At its core lies an 800-volt architecture, an integrated 113-kWh battery, and sophisticated thermal management.

Testing in the United States confirmed the system’s efficiency: several independent journalists covered more than 350 miles (around 563 km) on a single charge at 70 mph. According to the WLTP cycle, the range exceeds 600 km. This performance stems from the new cell chemistry—graphite-silicon anode and nickel-manganese-cobalt-aluminum cathode—and a double-sided cooling layout, a first for Porsche electric models. Cooling plates above and below the battery ensure stable performance even under sustained load.

The Predictive Thermal Management system coordinates all heating and cooling circuits while analyzing route, topography, and driving style. It preconditions the battery for the next charging stop, improving efficiency and reducing downtime. At compatible 400-kW stations, charging from 10 to 80 percent takes less than 16 minutes, adding roughly 300 km of range in just 10 minutes. The Cayenne Electric also maintains compatibility with 400-volt chargers at up to 200 kW.

From 2026, owners will be able to use Porsche Wireless Charging — an 11-kW inductive platform achieving up to 90 percent efficiency. Parking above the pad starts the process automatically, with full control via the My Porsche app.

Production of the Cayenne Electric will take place in Bratislava, with a world premiere expected by the end of 2025. Early reports suggest outputs approaching 1,000 horsepower. More than a new model, the Cayenne Electric represents Porsche’s next step toward a future where speed, range, and convenience merge into one coherent vision of electric performance.
