Cadillac has revealed the Escalade IQL, its longest electric SUV, featuring a 205 kWh battery, up to 460 miles of range, and increased interior space. Learn more about its specs and production timeline.

Cadillac is pushing the boundaries of luxury and electric vehicle technology with the introduction of the new Escalade IQL—the brand’s longest all-electric SUV. This extended version of the Escalade IQ isn’t just about size; it’s about elevating passenger comfort with more space in the third row and increased cargo capacity.

At 228.5 inches (approximately 5.8 meters) in length, the Escalade IQL surpasses even the gasoline-powered Escalade ESV, making it the longest production SUV in Cadillac’s lineup. Thanks to the extended chassis, third-row passengers now enjoy an extra 4 inches of legroom, bringing it to 36.7 inches. The cargo space has also expanded, offering 24.2 cubic feet behind the third row and up to 75.4 cubic feet with the seats folded down. Additionally, the front trunk (“eTrunk”) provides an extra 12.2 cubic feet, making the IQL one of the most spacious electric SUVs on the market.

The technical specs are equally impressive. The vehicle is powered by a massive 205 kWh battery, delivering a range of up to 460 miles (approximately 740 km) on a single charge. With fast-charging capabilities, drivers can add 116 miles of range in just 10 minutes, making long-distance travel more convenient.

With a starting price of $132,695, the Escalade IQL firmly positions itself in the premium EV segment. Production is set to begin in mid-2025 at GM’s Factory Zero in Detroit—a facility dedicated to producing environmentally friendly vehicles.

While the electric SUV market continues to evolve, Cadillac is making a bold bet on large luxury EVs, blending the familiar Escalade prestige with cutting-edge technology. The success of the Escalade IQL will largely depend on the expansion of charging infrastructure, but its potential is clear—demand for spacious, high-end electric vehicles is growing, and Cadillac’s latest offering could carve out a strong position in this niche.
