Honda Racing Corporation USA debuts Civic Type R HRC Rally XP and Passport TrailSport Concept at SEMA 2025, revealing new performance parts and motorsport-inspired technologies.

Honda Racing Corporation USA (HRC US) is bringing a diverse lineup of new prototypes, concept cars, and race machines to the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, blending three decades of racing heritage with a forward push into production-grade performance parts for Honda and Acura. The centerpiece is the global debut of the Civic Type R HRC Rally XP, tested in Texas with Formula 1 driver Liam Lawson. Built from a standard Type R, the rally car is ARA-ready yet street legal, featuring suspension and cooling components from HRC’s catalog, rally-sized brakes, a hydraulic handbrake, reinforced underbody protection, and custom exhaust hardware.

Another highlight is the Passport TrailSport HRC Concept, an off-road interpretation of the upcoming 2026 Honda Passport produced in Alabama. With a higher ride height, extended skid plates, winch system, advanced lighting for overlanding, and blue Alcantara accents, it showcases how HRC intends to elevate Honda’s adventure lineup.

SEMA visitors will also see the Integra Type S HRC Prototype, the Baja Passport Race Truck—fresh from its second-place finish at the Baja 500—and the hybrid-powered Acura ARX-06, which earned Acura second in the 2025 IMSA manufacturer standings after wins at Detroit and Watkins Glen. The ARX-06 serves as a development platform for HRC’s partnership with Phillips 66 Lubricants, aimed at creating advanced racing oils for hybrid systems.

First announced at SEMA 2024, the HRC Performance Parts program is now moving from concept to reality. Prototype components are under testing for both road and track, with retail availability expected after 2025. As HRC US deepens integration with its Japanese counterpart, it expands its engineering scope—from chassis and powertrains to electronics—preparing for Honda’s return to Formula 1 in 2026 as an Aston Martin power-unit partner.
