Bentley Prague Presents Czech Squadron Collection Dedicated to RAF Pilots
Bentley Prague unveils the Czech Squadron Collection by Mulliner, honoring four Czech RAF squadrons with bespoke models reflecting wartime heritage and craftsmanship.
Bentley Prague has unveiled a remarkable Mulliner project — the Czech Squadron Collection — celebrating the Czech pilots who served in the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. The four bespoke cars — Bentayga, Flying Spur, Continental GT, and Continental GT Convertible — stand as a tribute to courage and craftsmanship, each one reflecting the character and legacy of its respective squadron.
Created with the full cooperation of the British Ministry of Defence, the collection officially bears the insignia and mottos of RAF Squadrons 310, 311, 312, and 313. Every car embodies the spirit of its unit — from exterior shades inspired by wartime camouflage to laser-engraved headrests and treadplates featuring silhouettes of the Spitfire, Hurricane, and Liberator aircraft.
The Mulliner team introduced a new laser-etching technique for the insignia and complemented the interiors with herringbone tweed and dark-tint aluminium panels. These details connect the collection to Crewe’s own wartime heritage: the factory that once built the Rolls-Royce Merlin engines powering Britain’s Spitfires and Hurricanes now hand-crafts Bentleys of the modern era.
Back in 1938, the Pyms Lane plant in Crewe began producing the 27-litre V12 Merlin — the beating heart of the RAF’s aircraft. By 1946, the same site shifted to peace-time production with the launch of the Bentley Mark VI, marking the beginning of a new chapter in British craftsmanship.
At the opening of Bentley Prague’s new showroom, the Czech Squadron Collection took centre stage. Sales Manager Jiří Halousek described it as a project born from both pride and gratitude — an homage to the pilots who defended the skies and to the enduring link between Britain and Czechia. The collection reminds that even from conflict, beauty and purpose can take flight.
