Peugeot introduces the Polygon Concept in Fortnite’s Polygon City, created with Gameloft, offering a preview of its futuristic design ahead of the November 12 reveal.

Peugeot has unveiled its new Polygon Concept in a rather unexpected setting — inside the Fortnite universe. The brand invites fans to explore Polygon City, a virtual island developed in partnership with Gameloft, as part of its ongoing effort to engage younger audiences through immersive digital experiences.

Instead of a traditional motor show, the debut takes place in a digital environment. Polygon City mirrors the shape of Peugeot’s Hypersquare, an innovative steering system based on steer-by-wire technology. This system, eliminating the mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the wheels, is set to become a key feature in Peugeot’s future electric models expected after 2026.

Fortnite players can do more than just view the concept — they can create their own version of the car by earning tokens in mini-games and customizing elements such as the Hypersquare, wheel design, body color, and lighting signatures. This turns the design reveal into an interactive experience and embodies the idea of a “vehicle with multiple sides.”

According to Phil York, Peugeot’s Global Marketing and Communication Director, the project is not merely about showcasing a car but about allowing people to “experience our vision of the design future” and the freedom of personalization offered by the Polygon Concept. Jean-Baptiste Godinot of Gameloft for Brands emphasized that Polygon City demonstrates how Peugeot’s values can be translated into the language of gaming culture, fostering excitement among younger generations.

The technical specifications of the Polygon Concept remain undisclosed and will be revealed on November 12 during a digital premiere on Peugeot’s YouTube channel. Yet even before that reveal, the project stands as a statement — blending automotive innovation, digital creativity, and the growing influence of gaming worlds on modern design.
