Liverpool and Netherlands footballer Cody Gakpo joins Bentley Motors as ambassador for the UK and Europe, highlighting shared values of performance and craftsmanship.

Liverpool and Netherlands forward Cody Gakpo has been appointed as the new ambassador for Bentley Motors in the UK and Europe. For the brand synonymous with precision, power, and craftsmanship, his appointment reflects its modern spirit of performance and excellence.

The collaboration began when Gakpo visited Bentley’s factory in Crewe, just a short drive from his home in Cheshire. Immersed in the world of Mulliner, he worked alongside designer Phillip Dean to create a personal specification for his upcoming Bentayga Speed, set for delivery in 2026. The car, finished in Rubino Red with a Pillar Box Red and Beluga interior, nods to his Liverpool colours and his eye for detail.

Currently, Gakpo drives a Bentayga S Black Edition in Royal Ebony Satin, with a Mandarin and Beluga interior — a tribute to his Dutch heritage and the national team’s iconic orange. The Black Edition stands out in the lineup for its darkened details and seven vibrant accent colours, including Mandarin and Pillar Box Red, blending subtle power with striking individuality.

Bentley’s Head of Marketing for EMEA, Nicola Brown, described the partnership as “a meeting of elite athletic performance and automotive craftsmanship.” Gakpo echoed this sentiment, saying that Bentley represents family, ambition, and the reward of hard work. He even gifted a Bentayga to his father in the Netherlands — a gesture that completed a long-held dream.

Beyond the pitch, Gakpo is known for his philanthropy. Each year, he travels to Togo, his father’s homeland, to support youth programmes and local charities. His genuine commitment to community mirrors Bentley’s own emphasis on human stories behind success.

The partnership aligns with Bentley’s broader creative direction: in 2025, the marque welcomed actor Lucien Laviscount and creative directors Mai Ikuzawa and Greg Williams. Together, these collaborations reflect a brand evolving toward a future where luxury, innovation, and authenticity move hand in hand.
