Porsche introduces the Manthey Kit for the 911 GT3, detailing aerodynamic, suspension and brake upgrades confirmed on the Nordschleife; read the report.

Porsche’s collaboration with Manthey Racing has once again delivered a significant evolution for track-focused drivers. The new Manthey Kit for the 992.2-generation 911 GT3 enhances the car’s already serious circuit abilities while retaining the full factory warranty and being offered through official Porsche Centres worldwide.

The most dramatic improvements come from the extensive aerodynamic revisions. The underbody has been transformed into a continuous, smooth surface, the turning vanes have been extended, and the front lip now projects further forward. A wider swan-neck rear wing equipped with a Gurney flap, along with enlarged endplates, works together with a reprofiled rear diffuser. The result is a substantial increase in downforce without an increase in drag. At 285 km/h, the GT3 now produces 355 kg of downforce in road mode and up to 540 kg in circuit mode.

The suspension has been re-engineered in cooperation with Manthey. Four-way adjustable coilovers allow tool-free tuning, while front spring rates increased by ten per cent help manage the higher downforce loads. Reduced unsprung mass from lightweight forged wheels further improves precision and stability, particularly over kerbs.

Brake performance benefits from braided steel lines included as standard and optional PCCB racing pads designed for the extreme demands of track days. A range of accessories — from carbon aerodiscs and air outlets to illuminated door sills and removable tow straps — allows drivers to refine both appearance and functionality.

The improvements translate clearly to the racetrack. On the 20.8-kilometre Nürburgring Nordschleife, the updated GT3 fitted with the new kit completed a lap in 6:52.981 minutes with reigning DTM champion Ayhancan Guven at the wheel. This time is roughly 2.8 seconds quicker than the previous GT3 equipped with the earlier Manthey Kit. Although track conditions were damp in places due to autumn weather, the lap was certified by a notary, and Manthey expects an even faster result under ideal conditions.

The Manthey Kit will be available from March 2026 through Porsche Centres. Given the long-standing partnership between Porsche and Manthey Racing and their proven results on the Nordschleife, interest among dedicated track-day enthusiasts is expected to be strong.
