Mercedes-AMG shares details on Brad Pitt's involvement in the upcoming GT 4-Door Coupe and its AMG.EA platform, offering readers a clear overview of the project.

Mercedes-AMG introduced its new era with a vivid stunt in Las Vegas, bringing together Brad Pitt, Formula 1 driver George Russell, and a camouflaged prototype of the upcoming Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe. The scene unfolded like a short cinematic moment: Pitt waits for his car at a valet stand, only to realize that the “valet” is Russell himself, who drives off in the prototype and reveals its precision and energetic character.

This moment marked the start of a collaboration between AMG and Pitt, who now represents the forthcoming model. For the brand, it is more than a promotional gesture: the new GT 4-Door Coupe will be the first series-production vehicle built on the high-performance AMG.EA architecture. This platform is designed to elevate AMG’s electric lineup, incorporating three axial flux electric motors and a direct-cooled cylindrical-cell battery — the same technologies used in the AMG GT XX concept.

The concept has already shown what this engineering approach can deliver. Last summer, the AMG GT XX covered more than 40,000 kilometers over eight days at the Nardo proving ground, setting endurance records and maintaining high speeds for extended periods. These results offer a cautious indication that the future production car may prioritize sustained performance alongside peak output.

George Russell’s appearance reinforces AMG’s deep connection with motorsport, as the active Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team driver fits naturally into the narrative surrounding the model. Brad Pitt’s involvement, linked to his role in the film “F1,” where Mercedes also plays a prominent part, strengthens the cultural presence of the project and unites cinema, racing, and engineering progress.

The new GT 4-Door Coupe is expected to make its public debut in 2025, with the series-production version planned for 2026. While official specifications remain undisclosed, the confirmed technological foundation and the proven capabilities of the GT XX concept suggest that AMG is preparing a flagship designed to shape the next stage of its electric performance lineup.
