Nissan has announced the global launch of the new Kait SUV, unveiled on December 3, 2025. The company positions it for customers looking for a stylish SUV with generous space and well-equipped safety features, while highlighting practical packaging — including a 432-liter trunk.
In Latin America, Nissan frames Kait as an important addition to its portfolio alongside the all-new Kicks and Magnite, models it says have marked a turning point in the region. Production of the Kait will take place at Nissan’s Resende Industrial Complex in Brazil, with exports planned to more than 20 markets.
According to Nissan Latin America President Guy Rodríguez, the project draws on Nissan’s global SUV development experience and is intended to better match the needs of Latin American consumers in a growing, highly competitive segment. He adds that the vehicle is expected to inherit core attributes — robustness, reliability, and quality — from Nissan’s best-selling platform, a message aimed at reinforcing buyer confidence from day one.
For now, Nissan is holding back the full technical picture: the company says more details and specifications will be released at the official launch in each individual market. That makes the upcoming country-by-country rollouts the real moment of truth, when the final versions and equipment levels will show how sharply Kait can compete in one of the region’s most crowded SUV categories.
