Chinese EV maker XPENG expands into Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia through a partnership with Hedin Mobility Group. Find out which models will be available in 2025.

Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer XPENG is continuing its European expansion, this time entering three new markets—Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. Through a strategic partnership with Hedin Mobility Group, the company will not only sell cars but also provide after-sales services and spare parts distribution. The first vehicles will hit showrooms in the second quarter of 2025.

XPENG is no stranger to the European market. Since making its debut in Norway in 2021, the company has steadily expanded across the continent, establishing a presence in major countries such as Germany, France, the UK, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, and several others. Adding Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia to this list is another milestone in XPENG’s ambitious goal of reaching over 60 global markets by the end of 2025.

The partnership with Hedin Mobility Group makes strategic sense. As one of Europe’s largest distributors, Hedin already represents 14 automotive brands and sold over 218,000 vehicles in 2023. Its extensive network and market expertise position XPENG for success in these new regions.

XPENG will introduce three of its flagship models to Swiss, Czech, and Slovak customers:

  • XPENG P7 – a sleek and high-tech sedan competing with the Tesla Model 3;
  • XPENG G9 – a flagship electric SUV packed with cutting-edge features;
  • XPENG G6 – a stylish coupe-SUV, which will also be XPENG’s first model in the UK.

All three models have received the prestigious Euro NCAP 5-star safety rating, ensuring top-tier protection for drivers and passengers alike.

While entering Central Europe, XPENG is also making significant strides in the UK. The company has partnered with Lloyds Banking Group and International Motors Limited (IML) to offer finance and leasing solutions for its electric vehicles.

UK customers will have access to flexible financing through International Motors Finance, with options for personal and business leasing. Additionally, Lex Autolease will provide leasing solutions with the possibility of purchasing the vehicle at the end of the contract. The first XPENG model to be introduced in the UK will be the XPENG G6 coupe-SUV.

XPENG is aggressively expanding in Europe, and its latest agreements with leading distributors and financial institutions suggest a long-term commitment to the market. Will XPENG be able to challenge established European and American EV brands? It’s too early to tell, but one thing is certain—the company is determined to make a significant impact.
