Audi has revealed the exterior of its second production model for the Chinese market, the all-electric premium SUV AUDI E7X. The vehicle evolves the ideas introduced with the E SUV concept shown at Auto Guangzhou 2025 and marks another step in the brand’s China-focused strategy developed together with SAIC.

The project aims to offer Chinese customers a product that combines Audi’s premium engineering with digital innovations created within China’s technological ecosystem. This approach is reflected in the Advanced Digitized Platform and in the guiding philosophy of the vehicle, which blends brand-defining driving dynamics with features tailored to the expectations of tech-oriented buyers.

The production model remains faithful to the concept’s expressive design language. Clean, sculpted surfaces, a calm monolithic presence, and vertically arranged digital Matrix LED headlights integrated into a black wraparound frame give the E7X a distinctive visual character. With a length exceeding five meters and a wheelbase of 3,060 mm, the SUV balances generous interior space with a confident, prestigious stance, while short overhangs and powerful wheel arches emphasize its dynamic proportions.

The E7X will be offered with two powertrain configurations: a 300 kW rear-wheel-drive setup and a 500 kW all-wheel-drive version, both designed to deliver strong performance without sacrificing everyday comfort. This range reflects the model’s ambition to appeal to drivers seeking both emotion and practicality.

The E7X becomes the second production model under the AUDI brand written in capital letters, launched in November 2024 to address new customer groups in China’s fast-growing electric vehicle market. Close collaboration between German and Chinese development teams has significantly shortened development cycles, underscoring the strategic importance of this partnership.

The model will make its public debut at Auto China 2026 in Beijing, running from April 24 to May 3, 2026, before reaching the market in the first half of the year. These timelines highlight the momentum behind Audi and SAIC’s joint electric initiative and the brand’s broader expansion within China.
