Toyota has unveiled three new EVs for Europe: the C-HR+, an updated bZ4X, and the Lexus RZ. Learn about their features, range, and launch plans for 2025.
Toyota is strengthening its presence in the European EV market with the unveiling of three new models: Toyota C-HR+, an upgraded bZ4X, and the premium Lexus RZ. These models are set to launch in the second half of 2025, giving European buyers more options in the growing electrified SUV segment.
C-HR+: A Bold New Electric SUV

The new Toyota C-HR+, built on the e-TNGA platform, features a striking design, spacious interior, and practical everyday usability. Customers will have a choice between two battery capacities: 57.7 kWh (455 km range) and 77.0 kWh (600 km range), with both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options. For performance enthusiasts, the top-tier version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds.
bZ4X: Smarter, More Efficient, and Ready for Cold Weather

Taking feedback from first-generation bZ4X owners, Toyota has introduced a refreshed version with notable upgrades. A key improvement is the new battery pre-conditioning system, which enables significantly faster charging in cold temperatures. The SUV now comes with two battery options: 57.7 kWh (445 km range) and 73.1 kWh (573 km range). Suspension enhancements, quieter cabin experience, and increased power output contribute to a smoother, more enjoyable drive, with a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of just 5.1 seconds in the AWD version.
Lexus RZ: Premium Innovation and Performance
The Lexus RZ stays true to the brand’s philosophy of delivering both cutting-edge technology and engaging driving experiences. It introduces Steer-by-Wire technology, offering a new level of control. The Interactive Manual Drive system enhances driver engagement by allowing manual-like control over power delivery, providing a more immersive driving experience. The RZ 550e F SPORT model brings higher performance and a sport-tuned suspension for a more dynamic ride.
Toyota’s Strategy for the European EV Market
Europe remains a key market for Toyota’s electrification strategy. The company plans to launch nine new BEV models by 2026, with an ambitious goal of 30 models worldwide by 2030. This aggressive push comes as competition intensifies from Tesla, Volkswagen, Hyundai, and emerging Chinese manufacturers, though Toyota has not explicitly named these brands in its official statements.
With its latest innovations, Toyota is focusing on performance improvements, enhanced charging capabilities, and catering to a diverse range of customers. Whether the company can challenge the dominant players in the EV market remains to be seen.
