Porsche presents the Cayenne Electric Digital Driver Experience
Porsche reveals the Cayenne Electric with a new digital driver experience, advanced displays and AI voice control, as presented by the company’s Car-IT board.
Porsche introduces the new Cayenne Electric with a revolutionary approach to interior design and digital technologies. The new Cayenne Electric from Porsche is not just an electric SUV. It’s an ambitious attempt to blend cutting-edge technology with comfort, offering drivers a unique interaction with the car. The core goal of this approach is to create the Driver Experience based on Porsche Digital Interaction, allowing owners to customize their vehicle to ensure every moment behind the wheel is comfortable and safe.
At the heart of Porsche’s philosophy is the principle of maximum personalization. Unlike other models, the Cayenne Electric offers a set of new features for interactive engagement with both the driver and passengers. A key feature is the use of four large displays, with the option to fine-tune the interface through the Themes app, allowing both the driver and the co-driver to tailor the information to their preferences.
The AI-powered Voice Pilot, supported by large language models, helps the driver not only understand requests but also feel the intentions. It understands “natural” speech and can respond to complex questions like “Where’s the best restaurant in Stuttgart?” or “Where can I park near the shopping center?”—all without requiring the driver to take their eyes off the road. Moreover, the system is updated remotely through OTA updates, providing access to new functions on an ongoing basis.
The interior of the car stands out with its intuitive ergonomics. The new Flow Display is a curved OLED screen that seamlessly integrates into the central console. Special attention has been paid to making the interface as user-friendly and safe as possible, ensuring that the driver remains focused on the road.
Also noteworthy is the Porsche Digital Key, which uses UWB technology, allowing drivers to unlock the doors with their smartphone or smartwatch, and even share this access with others, setting individual rights for different functionalities.
Porsche is also continuing its work on enhancing the charging infrastructure. Reducing charging times and supporting wireless charging are important steps in creating a convenient, flexible electric vehicle that’s not only eco-friendly but also practical for everyday use.
