Honda Prologue 2025: Upgraded Range, Pricing, and Financing Details

Honda has introduced the 2025 Prologue with improved range, power, and financing options. Learn about pricing, tax credits, and new charging incentives before making a purchase.
Honda is ramping up its game in the EV market, making the 2025 Prologue an even more attractive choice for buyers. Following a strong debut last year—when it became the best-selling EV in the US outside of Tesla in the final three months of 2024—the Japanese automaker has not only kept the model competitive but has also added significant upgrades.
The most notable improvement is the extended range. The base front-wheel-drive version can now travel up to 308 miles on a single charge, an increase of 12 miles over the previous model. The all-wheel-drive variant also sees improvements, reaching 294 miles for the EX and Touring trims and 283 miles for the Elite. In addition, power and torque have been increased, with the single-motor 2WD version now producing 220 horsepower (+8) and 243 lb-ft of torque (+7), while the dual-motor AWD version delivers 300 horsepower (+12) and 355 lb-ft of torque (+25). These upgrades provide a more dynamic driving experience.
Despite these improvements, pricing remains competitive: the base model starts at $47,400, and with the federal EV tax credit, the price could drop to under $40,000. For buyers considering financing, Honda offers a reduced interest rate of 2.99% for 60 months. However, leasing the 2025 Prologue isn't as enticing as last year. While the 2024 model had aggressive promotions, including 0% financing and leases starting at $269 per month, the new AWD EX version now starts at $599 per month with a $4,299 down payment. Lease pricing for the base 2WD model has not yet been published.
Honda is also sweetening the deal with a charging incentive—buyers can choose between a free Level 2 home charger, a portable charging kit, or a $750 public charging credit.
When it comes to charging speed, the 2025 Prologue supports up to 150 kW DC fast charging, allowing it to add 65 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
Comparing the new Prologue to direct competitors like the Tesla Model Y and Hyundai Ioniq 5, Honda offers a roomier cabin but falls slightly behind in efficiency and cargo space. However, with its competitive pricing and appealing incentives, the Prologue is likely to draw significant interest.
The 2025 Prologue is now available for purchase. The question remains: will Honda’s new offers help it match last year’s success in an increasingly competitive market?
