2025 Mercedes-Benz CLA Debuts in Rome with AI and EV Innovation

Mercedes-Benz presents the 2025 CLA in Rome, featuring AI-driven MB.OS, advanced EV range, and new design — discover key highlights and global release details.
Rome became the stage for the highly anticipated world premiere of the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA — a model that signals a bold new era of technology, design, and sustainability for the brand. Hosted at the iconic Villa Miani with its panoramic views of the Eternal City, the event unfolded as more than just a car launch — it was a star-studded celebration of creativity and innovation.
Mercedes-Benz describes the new CLA as the most intelligent and efficient car they have ever built, and the specifications certainly support this claim. The model debuts with the proprietary MB.OS operating system, which integrates advanced AI capabilities from Microsoft and Google. This results in a deeply personalized user experience and a new level of interaction between driver and vehicle.
Stealing the spotlight was the electric CLA 250+ with EQ Technology. Its impressive range of up to 792 kilometers per charge, combined with the ability to gain 325 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes at a fast-charging station, sets new benchmarks in its class. Later in 2025, the lineup will expand with a cutting-edge 48-volt hybrid version.
But the new CLA is not just about power and tech. Inspired by the minimalist principles of a Zen garden, its interior prioritizes space, calm, and simplicity. The wide MBUX Superscreen takes center stage, while recycled materials dominate the cabin — a testament to Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to sustainability.
The Rome premiere was a dazzling cultural spectacle. High-profile guests from the worlds of fashion, music, and art gathered for the reveal, culminating in a live performance by South African singer Tyla.
Mercedes-Benz also unveiled its creative collaboration project, “Class of Creators.” This initiative features partnerships with rapper Ice Spice, designer Gustaf Westman, artist Colm Dillane, the gaming giant League of Legends, and the iconic Hot Wheels brand. Each collaboration will produce a unique CLA-inspired art piece, showcased throughout the year.
According to international media, the new CLA will go on sale in Europe and China in 2025, reaching the U.S. market by fall of the same year. Positioned between the Tesla Model 3 and BMW i4, the CLA targets the premium compact segment with serious ambitions.
Technologically, the model is equipped with an array of advanced driver-assistance features, designed to enhance safety and convenience while ensuring the driver remains actively engaged.
The wait was worth it. The all-new CLA stands poised to become more than just a car — it is set to be a technological and aesthetic icon of the new Mercedes-Benz era.
