Paul Casey shares his thoughts on Porsche Singapore Classic 2025, discusses his form, the challenging Laguna course, and the iconic Taycan Turbo S prize.

Paul Casey returns to the Porsche Singapore Classic 2025 with a special sense of belonging. The tournament, set for March 20-23 at the challenging Laguna National Golf Resort Club, has become more than just a DP World Tour event for the Englishman—it’s a reunion with his extended Porsche family. Casey acknowledges that the unique atmosphere of Porsche events inspires him and contributes to his performance on the course.

The three-time Ryder Cup winner and former world number three, who has reached this ranking during his career, previously claimed victory at the Porsche European Open in 2019. Now, he is aiming for another title in Singapore. Reflecting on the challenge, he notes that the competition gets tougher each year as younger players emerge, but he remains in good spirits, feeling fit, healthy, and full of energy.

The tournament will take place on the notoriously difficult Classic Course, nicknamed "The Beast"—one of Asia’s most demanding layouts. With nearly 150 bunkers, water hazards, and undulating terrain, the course requires precision and strategic play. The infamous par-3 17th hole is expected to bring drama and challenge once again.

One of the tournament’s most exciting aspects is the hole-in-one prize—a Porsche Taycan Turbo S in Oak Green Metallic. Casey recognizes the historical significance of the color, noting that green has been a favored shade within the Porsche family.

Casey emphasizes the unique energy surrounding Porsche tournaments, describing it as a combination of the brand’s influence and the enthusiasm of its community. He recalls a recent encounter with a member of Porsche Club Singapore who had met him during the previous year's Pro-Am event and was excited about this year’s tournament. The fan even asked Casey to take a photo with him in his Porsche, highlighting the strong connection between the brand and its followers.

Beyond the golf course, Casey looks forward to meeting his motorsport hero, Timo Bernhard—a five-time Nürburgring 24 Hours winner and two-time Le Mans champion. As a longtime motorsport enthusiast, he values the opportunity to spend time with a Porsche legend.

Discussing Porsche’s electric lineup, Casey expresses admiration for the Taycan Turbo S, describing it as a blend of performance, comfort, and environmental responsibility. He appreciates its power, acceleration, and range, acknowledging that electric driving offers a different but equally thrilling experience.

Having undergone toe surgery last year, Casey now feels significantly better. While he acknowledges that the recovery process is ongoing and will take more time, he is relieved to be pain-free and notices a positive impact on his overall physical condition. His focus remains on gradual improvement rather than making bold predictions, though qualifying for The Open at Royal Portrush remains a key goal.

Participation in the Porsche Golf Circle also plays an important role in Casey’s career. This international community of Porsche enthusiasts offers exclusive experiences, from tournaments to special events.

While the prize fund and full player lineup for the Porsche Singapore Classic 2025 are yet to be announced, one thing is certain—Casey is ready to deliver thrilling golf where sport and Porsche’s signature style come together.
