Blink Charging and Porsche Expand Destination Network in Mexico

Blink Charging will install 50 EV chargers for Porsche Destination Charging in Mexico, supporting electric mobility at premium hotels and restaurants.
Blink Charging will deploy 50 charging stations for the Porsche Destination Charging program in Mexico. The partnership will cover premium hotels, restaurants, and retail locations nationwide, though specific sites have not yet been disclosed.
Porsche Destination Charging is a global charging network operating in over 20 countries, with more than 1,000 locations. It offers Porsche electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle owners free charging sessions at exclusive destinations, including hotels, restaurants, golf clubs, and marinas.
Under the Mexican initiative, Porsche customers will receive free charging sessions, a complimentary Blink RFID card, and a 35% discount at all other Blink Charging stations. Host locations will earn a share of the charging revenue. Blink Charging will manage the entire process—from site assessment to installation and maintenance—under its ‘Blink Owned’ business model.
The installed Blink IQ200 chargers provide up to 19.2 kW of power. These Level 2 chargers can deliver around 65 miles (105 km) of range per hour and are compatible with most EVs using the SAE J1772 connector.
According to Porsche de Mexico’s director, the collaboration with Blink Charging will help expand and strengthen the public charging network with faster and smarter stations, enhancing the charging experience for users. He emphasized that this effort contributes to a growing network, offering more convenient options and promoting the transition to electromobility.
Blink Charging stated that hospitality destinations play a key role in driving EV adoption in Latin America, making this initiative an important step in advancing sustainable mobility solutions. The new charging stations are expected to become available this month.
