SEAT S.A. Achieves Record Profit, Accelerates Electrification

SEAT S.A. posts record 633 million euros profit in 2024, driven by CUPRA growth and EV investments, while launching SEAT CUPRA Foundation for social impact.
SEAT S.A. closed 2024 with record-breaking financial results, navigating complex global challenges in the automotive industry. Operating profit reached 633 million euros, up 1.3% from the previous year, while revenue rose to 14.53 billion euros. Return on sales remained steady at 4.4%.
The company’s success was largely driven by the growth of the CUPRA brand. Since its launch, CUPRA has introduced seven models in seven years and sold 800,000 vehicles worldwide. Its latest model, the CUPRA Raval, is set for a world premiere at the IAA in September 2025. Expanding its global footprint, CUPRA plans to enter the U.S. market by 2030.
Electrification remains a central pillar of SEAT S.A.'s strategy. In partnership with the Volkswagen Group and other stakeholders, SEAT is investing 10 billion euros in Spain’s electromobility sector. A major component of this initiative is the battery assembly plant under construction in Sagunto, Valencia, designed to anchor the future supply chain for electric vehicles.
The company also launched the SEAT CUPRA Foundation as part of its 75th-anniversary celebration. The foundation will focus on supporting young talent, healthcare initiatives, and preserving social heritage, reinforcing SEAT’s longstanding commitment to society.
CEO Wayne Griffiths acknowledged the slowdown in Europe’s EV market but framed it as an opportunity for transformation and sustainable growth. He called for stronger support from Spanish and European leaders to meet industry challenges head-on.
