Honda and Acura EVs to Gain Tesla Supercharger Access in 2025

Honda and Acura EV owners will access over 20,000 Tesla Superchargers in the US from June 2025 using an approved NACS-CCS adapter. Details on availability inside.
Honda and Acura electric vehicle owners in the United States will soon gain access to the extensive Tesla Supercharger network. Starting in June 2025, the Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX models will be able to charge at more than 20,000 Tesla Supercharger stations nationwide using the official Honda-approved NACS-CCS adapter.
This adapter is the only device recommended by Honda for DC fast-charging at Supercharger stations. The company emphasizes that using unapproved adapters may cause vehicle damage and void the warranty. The adapter has passed all necessary safety and compatibility tests and will be available for purchase at authorized Honda and Acura dealerships, with pricing to be confirmed closer to launch.
Owners will receive notifications via the HondaLink and Acura EV apps when the adapter becomes available. These apps will also allow users to locate authorized Supercharger stations.
Looking ahead, Honda plans to provide access to approximately 100,000 DC fast-charging points across North America by 2030. In addition to Tesla Superchargers, this network will include Electrify America, EVgo, and the new IONNA charging initiative. IONNA, a joint venture of seven automakers — BMW, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, and Stellantis — aims to deploy at least 30,000 high-power chargers in cities and along major highways.
The shift towards the NACS standard is gaining momentum. Automakers such as GM, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Hyundai, Volvo, and others have confirmed plans to adopt NACS ports and gain Supercharger access in 2025-2026. These changes mark a significant step toward simplifying EV charging and expanding accessibility for all drivers.
