Porsche Newsroom sums up 2025 with new 911 and electric models, major motorsport victories and key management changes. Read how Porsche AG shaped the year.

For Porsche, 2025 was a year that proved both intense and revealing. Against a challenging global backdrop, the company combined major product launches, motorsport success and decisive management changes, setting the tone for the next phase of its development.

New and updated models shaped much of the year. The introduction of the most dynamic 911 Carrera S to date reinforced the core of the 911 range, while the debut of the new 911 Turbo S with T-Hybrid technology elevated the flagship to the most powerful production 911 ever built. At the same time, Porsche continued its push into electric mobility: the Macan GTS Electric became the sportiest version of the electric SUV, and the Cayenne Electric was positioned as a technological milestone and the most powerful series-production Porsche in the brand’s history.

On the track, Porsche once again underlined its competitive strength. Porsche Penske Motorsport secured the marque’s 20th overall victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona, while the 2025 season concluded with Porsche defending all major titles in the IMSA championship. In Formula E, the company captured both the teams’ and manufacturers’ championships, completing the title set after last season’s drivers’ crown.

Equally significant were changes at board level. Throughout the year, Porsche advanced a long-planned generational shift within its Executive Board, reshaping responsibilities across finance, IT, sales and marketing. This transition will culminate on 1 January 2026, when Michael Leiters takes over as Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG, while Oliver Blume continues as CEO of the Volkswagen Group.

Beyond products and people, manufacturing and digitalisation also played a role. Porsche’s Leipzig plant received the Automotive Lean Production Award 2025, highlighting the effectiveness of its flexible and digitally driven production systems. In parallel, the company rolled out an updated Porsche Communication Management system, enhancing performance and expanding digital services across several model lines.

Taken together, the milestones of 2025 reflect a year of adjustment and forward planning for Porsche. The brand not only navigated current challenges but also sharpened its focus on technology, electrification and leadership renewal, entering 2026 with a clearly defined sense of direction.
