In 2025, BMW Group once again confirmed its position as one of the world’s most attractive employers, securing top rankings across several respected national and international studies. The results underline the company’s consistent employer appeal at a time when the automotive industry is undergoing profound transformation.

In Germany, BMW Group ranked first for the fourteenth consecutive year in the Trendence Professionals Barometer. The study, based on a survey of around 18,000 highly qualified professionals, is regarded as one of the most important benchmarks for employer attractiveness in the German labour market. Additional Trendence studies also placed BMW Group at the top among engineers, students and skilled workers, while in the IT category the company once again emerged as the highest-ranked automotive employer.

At the European level, BMW Group achieved leading positions in Universum’s “Most Attractive Employers in Europe 2025” ranking. The survey included more than 64,000 students from six major European economies and showed that BMW Group remains particularly attractive to future engineers as well as students in IT and business-related fields.

Global recognition was reinforced by the Forbes “World’s Best Employers 2025” ranking, where BMW Group placed fifth worldwide. Based on responses from 300,000 professionals across 50 countries, the ranking positioned BMW Group not only as the top automotive company but also as the highest-ranked German and European employer overall.

According to BMW Group, this sustained recognition is closely linked to the company’s strategic focus on key future topics such as electromobility, digitalisation and artificial intelligence. Emphasis on responsible leadership, long-term strategy and openness to innovation is seen as a decisive factor, particularly in times of economic and technological uncertainty.

External assessments are mirrored by internal feedback. In the company’s employee survey, 92 percent of employees said they are proud to work for BMW Group, while 87 percent would recommend the company as an employer. Together, these figures reinforce BMW Group’s strong standing in the global competition for talent and suggest that its employer appeal is likely to remain high in the years ahead.
