Paul Casey and Timo Bernhard meet at the Porsche Singapore Classic 2025, sharing insights on golf and motorsport during a unique customer event.

The 2025 Porsche Singapore Classic brought together two athletes from entirely different worlds — professional golfer Paul Casey and motorsport legend Timo Bernhard — united by their pursuit of perfection. Their meeting, part of a special customer event at the Laguna National Golf Club Resort, offered a unique glimpse into the crossover of two demanding disciplines.

Casey, once ranked third in the world, stepped into the role of golf instructor as he introduced Bernhard to the basics of the game. He noted that Bernhard did remarkably well with the golf club, highlighting the racing driver’s natural athleticism and ability to learn quickly. Bernhard, in turn, appreciated Casey’s guidance and said he gained valuable insights during the session.

The encounter extended beyond the golf course. Later, the duo transitioned to a racing simulator to tackle a virtual lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife. This time, Bernhard took the lead, sharing tips and experience from his record-setting performance on the legendary track — a blistering 5:19.55 lap time set in 2018 behind the wheel of a Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo. Casey was impressed by Bernhard’s precision and focus, pointing out that both golf and motorsport demand thorough preparation and sharp attention to detail. In his view, the mindset required in both sports — a constant desire to learn and improve — is remarkably similar.

Their interaction revealed striking parallels between the two disciplines: relentless passion, continuous growth, and mutual respect for the craft. Although Bernhard is now retired from professional racing, he remains deeply involved in motorsport as the team owner of Team 75 Bernhard and a Porsche brand ambassador.

Adding another layer to the event was the participation of Samir Suliman, coach of Germany’s Olympic gold-winning women’s 3x3 basketball team. His presence underscored Porsche’s emphasis on sports diversity and the unifying power of teamwork.

The Porsche Singapore Classic continues to expand the brand’s presence in Asia and solidify its position in the global golf arena. As part of Porsche’s strategic growth in the region, the tournament serves as a key platform for engagement. The Porsche Golf Cup alone attracts over 16,000 passionate customers worldwide, demonstrating the success of the format. With more events already being planned, the brand’s momentum in sports and customer experiences shows no signs of slowing down.
