Karma Automotive unveils the Amaris coupe, featuring a next-gen EREV powertrain, stunning design, and production set for Q4 2026. Learn more about the launch.

Karma Automotive has officially unveiled its first production two-door coupe — the striking Amaris, featuring a next-generation Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) powertrain. The debut took place on March 20 in California, where the company confirmed production is scheduled for Q4 2026.

Continuing the brand's distinctive Comet Line design language first introduced with the Kaveya super-coupe, Amaris showcases a carbon fiber and aluminum body, 22-inch forged wheels, and elegant swan doors. Aerodynamics play a crucial role, with a functional aero pass-through spoiler and Americana-inspired side exhaust enhancing the coupe’s sporty appeal.

Under the hood, Amaris is equipped with a more powerful EREV system, incorporating a larger turbocharged 4-cylinder internal combustion generator. Preliminary figures indicate a 0–60 mph acceleration time of under 3.5 seconds and an estimated top speed of 165 mph. However, Karma has not yet disclosed power output or range specifications.

Alongside Amaris, Karma is also adjusting its overall product strategy. The Gyesera sedan, initially revealed as a full EV, will now arrive in late 2025 with an EREV powertrain. This shift makes Gyesera the successor to the Revero, maintaining the proven all-aluminum spaceframe for accelerated market entry.

The change reflects broader market adjustments in the premium electric vehicle segment, with other luxury automakers facing similar recalibrations. This trend has also affected the Karma Kaveya super-coupe, whose launch has been postponed to 2027.

Looking ahead, Karma plans to integrate its Software-Defined Vehicle Architecture (SDVA), developed in collaboration with Intel Automotive, into future fully electric models such as the Kaveya and the upcoming Ivara GT-UV. This platform is expected to enable advanced digital capabilities, intelligent power management, and over-the-air updates.

Karma’s legacy is deeply tied to the Revero — a reimagined Fisker Karma — followed by the ultra-exclusive Invictus series, limited to just 30 units with enhanced performance and carbon fiber construction.

Sales of Amaris and Gyesera will target North America, Europe, South America, and the Middle East, where Karma's dealer network is already established. Pricing and pre-order details for both models remain undisclosed.

With a clear focus on balancing power and range, Karma continues to strengthen its position in the ultra-luxury EREV market. As the premium EV sector navigates uncertain demand, Karma’s commitment to flexible hybrid solutions could prove a strategic advantage in the years ahead.
