Ram Officially Presents the 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX
Ram and Stellantis confirm the return of the 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX with 777 hp, SRT branding and advanced technology. Read the full details.
Ram has officially confirmed the return of the TRX, a model that has already earned its reputation as one of the most extreme production pickup trucks. For the 2027 model year, the Ram 1500 SRT TRX once again takes its place at the top of the lineup, becoming the first off-road product of the relaunched SRT Performance division and the first SRT-branded Ram pickup in nearly two decades.
At the heart of the comeback is the return of the 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8. In its latest form, the engine delivers 777 horsepower and 680 lb-ft of torque, figures that allow Ram to position the TRX as the most powerful production gasoline half-ton pickup truck. Power is sent through an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission and a full-time four-wheel-drive system. According to the manufacturer, this setup enables a 0–60 mph sprint in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 118 mph.
The new TRX also brings meaningful updates to its chassis and off-road hardware. It features second-generation Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive shocks, Ram Active Terrain Dynamics, and up to 14 inches of suspension travel. Together, these components are designed to maintain the TRX’s signature balance between high-speed on-road performance and serious off-road capability.
Technology plays a central role in the 2027 TRX. Ram introduces Hands-Free Active Driving Assist (L2+) for the model, operating on approved roadways, alongside a suite of large digital displays, including a 14.5-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a head-up display. The interior is presented as fully equipped from the start, combining leather-trimmed surfaces, heated, ventilated and massaging seats, and a premium Harman Kardon audio system.
To mark the return of the apex pickup, Ram offers the Bloodshot Night Edition. This package adds a two-tone exterior with a black upper body and a bold Flame Red hood stripe, exclusive graphics, carbon fiber interior trim with red accents, and distinctive TRX badging.
The 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX is scheduled to arrive in the second half of 2026 with a starting price of $99,995, excluding destination charges. Set against the backdrop of SRT’s revival and the renewed focus on HEMI power, the TRX’s return signals more than just the comeback of a nameplate—it reinforces Ram’s commitment to the high-performance gasoline pickup segment at a time when the industry is rapidly evolving.
