Toyota Launches Supra RZ Upgrade and Limited A90 Final Edition

Toyota Gazoo Racing reveals the upgraded Supra RZ Grade and special A90 Final Edition in Japan, celebrating the Supra legacy with enhanced performance.

TOYOTA GAZOO Racing has officially launched the partially upgraded Supra RZ Grade and the special-edition Supra "A90 Final Edition" in Japan, marking a significant milestone for the iconic sports car lineup.

The updated Supra RZ Grade went on sale on March 21 at Toyota dealerships across Japan. This model introduces a host of improvements aimed at enhancing driving pleasure on both city streets and winding tracks. Notable upgrades include larger 18-inch Brembo front brakes, reinforced body and chassis components, and aerodynamic tweaks featuring carbon-fiber elements. Inside, sporty accents such as "GR" embroidered Alcantara seats, red seatbelts, and matte black wheels highlight the car's racing spirit.

Taking center stage is the "A90 Final Edition" — a limited-run tribute version capped at 150 units. Lottery entries are being accepted at GR Garage locations in Japan until April 13, with winners set to be announced on May 9. The special edition is priced at 15 million yen.

The "A90 Final Edition" boasts substantial performance upgrades, raising power output to 441 PS and torque to 571 Nm. It features 19-inch Brembo brakes, an Akrapovič titanium exhaust system, adjustable KW suspension, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires designed for maximum grip. Carbon fiber is extensively used in components such as the vented hood and swan-neck rear wing. The interior is equally impressive, fitted with RECARO carbon-fiber bucket seats and Alcantara trim throughout.

Both the upgraded Supra RZ and the "A90 Final Edition" will make their public debut at the opening round of the 2025 SUPER GT season, scheduled for April 12-13 at Okayama International Circuit. The SUPER GT series remains a vital platform for Toyota, serving as both a testing ground for cutting-edge technologies and a showcase of racing heritage.

The "A90 Final Edition" represents the culmination of the A90 generation, which made a triumphant return in 2019 after a 17-year hiatus. Spearheaded by Chairman Akio Toyoda, the rebirth of the Supra paid homage to the model's storied legacy. Now, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing delivers a fitting farewell to fans worldwide with a highly refined, race-inspired final edition.
