Škoda Auto is entering 2026 with an ambitious agenda that combines product innovation and important milestones in the brand’s history. The year will see the debut of two new electric models, alongside the celebration of a major motorsport anniversary, underlining how strongly electrification and heritage are intertwined in Škoda’s current strategy.
The first major premiere will be the Škoda Epiq, a compact all-electric SUV designed as a practical everyday companion. With seating for five passengers, a luggage compartment offering 475 litres of capacity and a claimed driving range of up to 425 kilometres, Epiq is positioned as a versatile alternative to conventional combustion-powered crossovers. Measuring around 4.1 metres in length, it is set to combine urban-friendly dimensions with a high level of usability. Series production is scheduled for 2026, and the model will be among the first Škoda vehicles to fully adopt the brand’s new Modern Solid design language.
Epiq will not remain alone for long. Shortly afterwards, Škoda will introduce a second battery-electric newcomer: a large family SUV with seven seats. This model is expected to become the most spacious and prestigious electric vehicle in the brand’s portfolio, effectively taking on the role of an electric flagship. While Škoda has not yet revealed its official name or detailed specifications, the upcoming SUV is described as the pinnacle of the Modern Solid design approach and is aimed at customers seeking space, versatility and a fully electric drivetrain.
Beyond new vehicles, 2026 also carries strong symbolic weight for the company. Škoda Motorsport will mark 125 years of the brand’s involvement in motor racing, highlighting a legacy that has played a key role in shaping Škoda’s engineering identity. This anniversary adds a historical dimension to a year otherwise defined by forward-looking technologies.
Throughout the year, Škoda Storyboard will follow these premieres and celebrations closely, offering in-depth coverage of new models, insights into development and production, and stories that connect the brand’s past with its electric future. As a result, 2026 is shaping up not just as another model year, but as a defining chapter in Škoda Auto’s ongoing transformation.
