Skoda presents the Vision O concept, offering a clear look at the future of electric estate cars, focusing on design, space, technology and sustainable interior solutions.

Škoda has done something unusual with the Vision O concept by taking it off the show stand and onto real roads. Seen in motion, the car feels less like a design study and more like a credible vision of where one of the brand’s most important segments—the estate car—could be heading.

This is more than a styling exercise. Estate models have long shaped Škoda’s identity, with millions sold over the years, and Vision O clearly builds on that legacy. Its exterior relies on clean surfaces and carefully balanced proportions, highlighted by a dynamically sloping roofline and the new Tech-Loop front design. Minimalism here serves a clear purpose, with aerodynamics identified as a central focus of the concept.

The interior follows the same philosophy of clarity and usability. A horizontal Horizon Display stretches along the lower edge of the windscreen, creating a new interaction layer that blends digital screens with touch surfaces and physical controls. This system is complemented by Laura, Škoda’s AI-powered voice assistant, designed as an integral part of the user experience. Space is a defining element, with the cabin suited for both family travel and business use, and luggage capacity exceeding 650 litres.

Equally important is how Vision O behaves on the road. The concept is presented as a quiet and smooth electric car, focused on comfort rather than performance figures. Škoda deliberately avoids publishing technical specifications for the powertrain, reinforcing the car’s role as a conceptual exploration rather than a pre-production promise.

Sustainability is woven into the project in a tangible way. The interior features recycled and upcycled materials, including NABORE flooring made from reused leather waste, as well as distinctive 3D-printed headrests. Interior lighting adapts to natural light cycles, enhancing the sense of openness and calm inside the cabin.

Vision O offers no direct confirmation of a production future, but its message is clear. Škoda suggests that even in an electric age, the estate car remains relevant—provided it delivers space, thoughtful technology and an emotional yet restrained design.
