Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland 2025: New Season, Fresh Faces, Legendary Tracks

The 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland features 28 drivers, iconic F1 circuits, and a strong Talent Pool including the first female driver in a decade.
The 2025 Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland is revving up for another high-stakes season, following two days of official pre-season testing in Imola, Italy. With eight double-header weekends in five countries, the championship continues its tradition of fast-paced competition while spotlighting a new generation of racers.
Entering its 36th season, the German one-make cup remains rooted in its proven format—two races per weekend with the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car. This year, two rounds will support the FIA World Endurance Championship, including the season opener at Imola and another at Spa-Francorchamps. The remaining six events are aligned with the DTM calendar, featuring iconic circuits like Zandvoort, Red Bull Ring and Hockenheimring. Notably, the Norisring returns to the calendar for the first time since 2019, adding a unique street circuit back into the mix.
The grid features 28 drivers from 10 countries. Germany leads with 12 entries, followed by the Netherlands with seven. Several teams are returning, including defending champions Proton Huber Competition and Bonk Motorsport. New entrants include Schumacher CLRT—fresh off a dominant Porsche Supercup season—and [a-workx] by Porsche Paderborn.
This season introduces strong new talent. Porsche Junior Alessandro Ghiretti, who won both the Carrera Cup Asia and France in 2024, joins Schumacher CLRT. Fellow Porsche Junior Theo Oeverhaus, last season’s Rookie Champion and overall third-place finisher, returns with Bonk Motorsport after a winter title in the Middle East.
A landmark addition is 22-year-old Emely de Heus—the first female driver to compete in the German Carrera Cup in a decade. The Dutch driver, who raced in the F1 Academy last season, is now part of the Porsche Talent Pool alongside seven other young prospects from Europe and Brazil. The series continues to award titles in the Rookie and ProAm classes as well as the Teams’ Championship.
Among returning champions is Flynt Schuring, the youngest race winner in series history, and reigning ProAm titleholder Sören Spreng. Meanwhile, four-time overall champion Larry ten Voorde is stepping away from the cockpit to focus on his own driver development program.
Fans can follow the action via the official Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland YouTube channel, with additional coverage and team interviews provided through digital Race News reports after each weekend.
As the engines roar to life, this season promises not only high-speed battles but also a closer look at the future of motorsport, where Porsche continues to blend competition with driver development at the highest level.
