Skoda debuts the Elroq RS at Milan Design Week 2025, presenting the new Modern Solid design language in collaboration with artist Marcantonio. Discover more.

At Milan Design Week 2025, Skoda Auto took center stage with a bold blend of technology and art. Inside the historic courtyard of the Padiglione di Arte Contemporanea, the brand unveiled a striking exhibition anchored by the debut of Elroq – its first production car to embody the new Modern Solid design language.

The all-electric SUV made its public premiere in the sporty RS version. Built on Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, Elroq comes in multiple trims, ranging from the rear-wheel-drive Elroq 50 to the dual-motor Elroq 85x with 299 hp and up to 580 km of range. Its interior features a 13-inch infotainment screen, a digital cockpit, and a head-up display. Practicality shines through with a spacious cabin and generous trunk space, complemented by fast charging at up to 175 kW.

But specs aren’t the whole story here. Skoda leaned into artistic storytelling, entrusting Italian artist Marcantonio with the exhibition's concept. He transformed the pavilion into a sensory journey through imagery and emotion: a flamingo to represent movement, a snowdrop turned streetlamp, and a raccoon whose eyes project driving landscapes for children. A holographic hummingbird sipping nectar adds a final, ethereal touch.

“We don't just want to show cars — we want to tell stories and evoke feelings,” said Martin Jahn, Board Member for Sales and Marketing at Škoda. The pavilion responds to this vision, offering different experiences by day and night through dynamic lighting. The fiberglass sculptures and meandering pathway make the visit more than a showroom—it becomes an immersive experience.

At the heart of the exhibit lies a powerful idea: a car, in essence, is a sculpture. Made of lines, volume, and space, it’s a functional form of art built for motion. With this project, Škoda makes it clear—tomorrow isn’t just electric; it’s a fusion of design, technology, and emotion.
