Hills Ford, a well-established car dealership with sites in Kidderminster and Malvern, has unveiled plans to redevelop a former industrial building in Blackpole, Worcester, into a modern showroom and workshop.
The project is spearheaded by MTCR Marketing, operating as Hills Ford since 2009. Behind the initiative are Tim and Richard Hill, previously directors of the defunct AM100 retailer Brooklyn Motor Group. After acquiring the Ford franchises in Kidderminster and Malvern in 2009, MTCR rebuilt the business and expanded further in 2020 by adding Hills Automotive in Mustow Green to their portfolio. This division focuses on premium vehicles and motorhomes, including models from Ford and Pilote.
While specific timelines for the Worcester site have not been disclosed, Hills Ford's commitment to innovation is evident. Their dealerships already feature fully electric models like the Ford Explorer, equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems and a 14.6-inch SYNC Move touchscreen—highlighting the company's focus on digital and sustainable mobility.
The redevelopment of the disused Blackpole site marks more than just business growth. It signals a potential transformation for the local area, breathing new life into an idle industrial space. Although local authorities have yet to comment on the project’s economic impact, the initiative could serve as a catalyst for revitalisation and green mobility in the region.
